Fine is an adequate descriptive. His character work was enough to enjoy him. I just didn’t think he had enough in the ring to see him as a main event is all.

Absolutely. I’ll never knock his promo work. Even in WCW. Hell he absolutely sold many a great gimmick there. Even when he and Flair were heel co-president and Flair went insane.

It is, but Piper just didn’t make me believe he could hang with other top guys. He played the part he was given perfectly. The cowardly heel that never got the big win.

That said, I wouldn’t have hated if he beat Hogan during his 5 years as WWF Champion I’d have overlooked not seeing him that way if he broke up that Hogan monotony.

Very interesting. I think Piper was money with the right opponents. Hart for example. I wouldn't count on him to carry a match, but he could carry any program.
