The rating wasn't the problem. It was WWE intentionally booked way under what was needed for a PG product.

06 SmackDown was miles better than Raw, but I'll agree 04 and 05 were absolutely terrible

Such a bad idea to do right when they switched to PG. WWE must have felt lost and figured hey we'll just throw famous people at them and they won't notice we got nothing creatively.

2009-2011 was such an era of transition tbh.

I consider 09-10 basically it's own era and then 2011-2016 (pre-draft) a separate one bc it felt so different to me

They have to be able to wrestle, have a personality and look like they can win a fight. See, my qualifications ain't anywhere near that high.

Maybe group 11 with 09 and 10 as well and start the next era in 2012 tho

It felt like they were waiting for the younger stars like Punk and Bryan to be ready for their pushes in that era.

PG Era was basically a transition era. I think a lot people consider 2011-2012 the start of the reality era.
