You should at least take the time to watch it through once. It's a greatly and heavily detailed historical classic.

I think if you're gonna watch Gettysburg, there's only two scenes that are arguably the highlight of the entire thing: Little Round Top and Pickett's Charge.

TBF, I think Gettysburg does a pretty fantastic job of painting each side's (infantry) perspective. Considering it was funded by Georgian Ted Turner after all.
