To be fair, I think it really depends on what your friend is into for how to introduce them into wrestling, y'know?

I think Rumble 92, 2002, and 2004 are also great choices to introduce someone to wrestling.

I watched that shit religiously as a kid though, Flair/Race at Starrcade '83, the Flair/Steamboat trilogy, Flair/Funk "I Quit," Rumble '92, and HHH vs Flair from 03 were just on repeat. It had other stuff too I'm sure lol

I did have a friend randomly ask me for some Foley indy matches so I linked him to the Deathmatch finals between Flair/Funk. He was also readin' his first book at the time and I know Foley went over that match a lot. I'm pretty sure that was exactly what he wanted

My feeling is if someone hasn't seen wrestling or maybe just already has a negative opinion of it, I don't wanna start them with something in the 80s or 90s (unless it's AE) because I feel like that's already an uphill battle no matter how good the match actually is to me

Like if I was gonna get someone into basketball, I wouldn't start with Earl Tbe Pearl and Pistol Pete :lmao You wanna at least go with Jordan, Shaq, Kobe, AI, etc.
