I can see it just from how rural it is, the south isn't necessarily more racist, it's just we have more rural areas than other states and that's where more racists tend to be. They claim Boston is one of the most racist cities in the Northeast, but honestly I don't see it. No one I talk to seems racist, but I'm not the one who'd experience it so I couldn't tell you.

And really in the south the worst racism is def against Muslims rn, there's so many black and Mexican people that people have just grown to tolerate it, but I have this Muslim friend that came over for college and lives in Houston now and he's got some of the worst shit I've ever seen from people down here

Houston ain't that bad to him but when he was in East Texas for college, people would always call him towel head and not let him into parties and shit bc 'MURICA and he is literally the nicest dude I know like if I ever had a problem I'd call him to help me before anyone else

His parents couldn't even come to his graduation bc of the travel ban and their country wasn't on the list, shit was bullshit, I think the airline just admitted their fuck up afterwards bc Bahrain is one of our allies and was never on the travel ban list but they still wouldn't let them leave the airport or some shit
