Reviews been shitty for a while. I find most of it based on the sameness of the game year after year, as well as the fact they seem to only care about shit like Ultimate Team which makes them more money.

Which is a valid complaint. 2k pisses me off because I like to play MyLeague but it's not set up where you can buy shit in that mode so they just leave it broken and don't change shit about it

I guess Madden isn't much different. I like to play Franchise mostly and they barely tweak it every year. It's annoying that they only put effort into game modes with microtransactions and shit. But it's still relatively fun.
