It's easier for them to get jobs compared to the past...but it ain't easier than it would be for a white dude lmao you can't really complain about that as long as the guys hired are still qualified bc it's all discretionary and that goes both ways, whether they're hiring minorities or white guys...no valid complaints in my book unless it's proven they're hiring unqualified workers over qualified ones for race reasons

Some companies literally make pledges to make their workforce more diverse which means they're specifically looking for minorities.

But I know living in East Texas has to have me more jaded than other cities about that bc there's been multiple stories this year from head managers of places getting outed bc they're dumbasses are saying through TEXTS that they weren't hiring anyone or letting them get an interview bc they were a minority

And how many of those companies are still 50% white people? Saying you're committed to diversity simply means if you got 10% of minorities currently you want that number higher, doesn't mean you're more likely to hire a minority over white people, just more likely to hire a minority than you were in a past

Being a minority also gives you a better story. It's better to say you've come from a poor neighborhood and worked your ass off to get an education against all odds rather than saying you're a rich white guy who had everything handed to you.

That only makes a difference in sports lmao one minority coming from a terrible neighborhood and making it big allows 50 more to be stuck in that same neighborhood for the rest of their lives and no one cares bc one got out
