my argument is if the story isn't there the moment is forgotten quickly and doesn't stand the test of time

But that might also be because of sheer amount of content diluting it all

I think that should be true in theory but I would argue that sadly in wrestling a lot of time if the moment is good enough people forget the follow up sucking. But it just can't be too fucking bad and also when you spam the "moments' that clearly leads to dominating returns to

But to me it boils down to what I think is a good booking philosophy and that's "just do it"

There was clearly no heel plan and that's fine, get the moment in, then he loses at Mania, and sees the error of his ways, wins KOTR for the first time to complete that accurate, wins the WHC or whatever for the record breaking title win, all as a face. It was easy

I liked it at the time, but in hindsight this is the better direction yeah.
