But ya a good example I saw someone use yesterday was "if a smoker says smoking is unhealthy, is his argument suddenly invalid because he smokes too?" And the answer is of course not , his argument is valid that it's unhealthy regardless

if anything I rate the opinion higher of someone who understands their vice as being unhealthy instead of trying to justify it or otherwise being in denial
