If you wrote the history of WS and its various predecessors, it would be a very interesting and complex story Cause to me, this site is just like the evolution of Pulse/WP... like it may as well be the same forum. But different people have experienced this forum's lifespan differently.

yeah there's only like 2 other people I know of besides me that were here before Smark bought it so everyone else just thinks of it as a continuation of WP lol

I think by the end of WC's run is really fell off with a lack of permanent new members, and a basically dead live chat for wrestling. BTBers tended to stick there, and the FWA guys stayed in the efed forum. There wasn't really many different opinions or tastes and I think it ended up being better that it has become a discord server for it's own long-term survival. WS just had more diversity in opinion, an active live-chat, and before WS closed down, a small but dedicated BTB section.

This is all valid. By the last couple years too, there was essentially zero discussion of WWE, and most of the wrestling posters either all had the same tastes, or there was one or two outliers who would go hard against what was popular, or go hard for what wasn't. All the posting about wrestling had essentially become long form, essay style reviews and there wasn't much actual discussion and engagement.

One of the contributors to that was the fact that a lot of the wrestling posters on the site by the end also lived in Europe, so there wasn't even really the possibility for good, unified live discussions.

I enjoyed it there and spent many years there. I only left because it died. The shoutbox was basically just me and looch and dak
