I found out one of my great grandmas got arrested for counterfeit bills when she was like 20 in the early 1900s, I think she even lived a few years after I was born if I don't have them mixed up

Yeah it was wild bc the arrest record popped up as a suggested document bc it found her name in it which I could also make out but the crime was written in such bad handwriting it took like 5 of us to realize what she actually did

She coulda never imagined her great grandchild finding record of that 100 years later

ancestry is great but expensive af, I had like a one month free trial and tried to do as much research as possible

Definitely just do the free trial and bust out as much as possible in that timeframe

And it was still disheartening bc like my tree was wrong at one point I discovered bc of an adoption which I fixed but then it just made me think about how pointless it is when all our ancestors were having affairs and shit lol
