Cody doesn’t get as big without the Bullet Cub. I also think they never would have done something like All In without Cody. Maybe ROH/NJPW at MSG still but that wouldn't have had the same ripple effect. Of course The Elite never would have been able to build something the size of AEW without TK. Ultimately, all parties brought something crucial to the table to literally change the world of wrestling. I guess if you want to give anyone credit though, it's Finn Balor.

my big issue with cody was his refusal to pivot and his insistence on having a faction of 30 jobbers nobody gives a fuck about taking up way too mcuh tv time. also how the fuck are you a face with a nepotism faction, its dumb

so I would put Jericho up there for reasons aew exist. same with mox actually to a smaller degree at first (but his contributions since arriving have been, imo, unmatched. mox is the man)

hate giving jericho his flowers cuz he is a weirdo but ya, he was a huge important piece to get eyes to watch and legitimize the product to a casual audience

Jericho choosing to wrestling Japan was critical as well but even that, along with TK's general interest in the core that would become AEW to begin with, was all spurred on by the popularity of the Bullet Club :lol

But you're dead on Jeff. Kenny/Jericho proved that money can be made outside of WWE. All In proved that you can sell tickets without WWE's name. It was a perfect storm all coming together at the right time (especially with the contracts all expiring around the same time) to create the biggest change in the industry in decades.

absolutely true. And if we wanna go deep in the BC lore. The bucks are actually the ones who made them so popular. Not by wrestling but due to their business acumen and pumping out the merch that made it mainstream (the wrestling fans). The bucks made a lot of ppl in the Indies and Japan a looooooot of money.

I give credit to Leva Bates and Pete Avalon, what would AEW be without the Librarians?

Generally I think it was a perfect storm. Remove any of Kenny, Bucks, Cody, Jericho and TK from the equation and I think none of this happens the way it has
