I don't cook steak proper here very often bc it sets off the smoke alarms and they're too much of a pain to turn on and off to bother

They do make disposable grill covers if the whole germ thing is the issue. If the whole potentially being around people thing is the issue sadly that I can't help with.

yeah that's talways the issue. Not to mention if you go to use it and someone else is you gotta wait for them to finish before you can use it which throws off cooking times for any sides if you doing them inside.
