The welfare polls are always what makes me lose faith in us the most tho, like there's no empathy whatsoever, not even a lack of it, 0 bit

People are fucking stupid, in general

The more I notice the more I come back to lack of empathy being the biggest thing

Like I don't mean just feeling sorry for someone or anyrhing, but a severe lack of being able to imagine yourself in someone's shoes at all

Unfortunately that's kind of what media and education is brainwashing us into

Just a general lack of imagination, empathy, and short-sightedness.

Critical thinking yeah, just sounds like a school buzzword now and not something we used to do

I get super frustrated with people at work because I see so many people using food stamps and EBT cards to buy stuff that isn't even necessary.

I think it's a podcast problem. You have the most minor of success and all of a sudden you think your opinions are just so powerful and need to be heard. And wrestlers have the personality that makes that worse lol

Doesn't help that they usually do collect some fierce, idiot fans who would always support their opinions and defend them without even thinking about it.

Like I didn't know that cheetos and doritos and Monster was considered important enough for food stamps.

You can buy crazy unimportant things with food stamps in Texas

And the same lawmakers that have the ability to tighten restrictions use that as an excuse to say we don't need them at all

Unfortunately, it's where I do think the perception that people on welfare are lazy comes from

What food you choose to buy doesn't reflect the effort you make in getting jobs though
