i dont even know if the hobbit is bad or good, i refused to watch it out of principle because one book does not need to be stretched that much and it was an evident cash grab

that's the first instance I can remember of adding shit instead of cutting shit from a book adaptation lol such a cash grab. I still like them for the most part at least but it's so obvious

The first movie was really good but I'll never forget after the second song starts my friend who drove like 4 of us said if there was another one he was leaving bc he wasn't going to watch a musical

Second was pretty great just for Benedict Cumberbatch's CGI Smaug performance but the third was way unneeded lol it was like a battle the entire movie which was kinda cool as a gimmick tho

the Bucks famously have said they fell asleep during one of them in theaters for heat

Lord of the rings I couldn't imagine watching in theaters but I love the extended editions for at home viewing and they're like 4 and a half hours
