I qualified for 20k forgiveness last year before the Republicans blocked that. I was going to pay off my remaining 15k as a lump sum if that went through to be done

Yeah my mom still has some in her name too bc they were split about 50/50 between us and she would have gotten 10k herself. Pretty sure she's not even paying until they send her a notice and they haven't despite payments resuming for a year

lol the PPP loans during COVID were crazy, the stories about people being caught don't even cover the half of it. Every business pocketed half that cash, some were just dumber

My old company had to use a portion of the giant loan we received for payroll for it to be forgiven, and it was actually higher than what payroll normally was but instead of giving any kind of bonus bc we were living through a pandemic, the billionaire owner put himself and his wife on payroll, and then paid themselves more than any other employee to meet the minimum

Forgiving 1M loans for him clearly hurts taxpayers less than forgiving 20k for me tho

He's the kind of guy to come in bitching about gas prices and democrats hurting the economy bc they're so high...but he charges all his gas purchases to the company so the he, a billionaire (this is not an exaggeration btw, he at least was when I was there), does not pay for gas while we all do
