cpu wise I can stay on am4 but have to change quicker down the line or go to am5 but then i need to switch my board and my ram and thats a lot more than a couple hundred bucks :s

Yeah, I was actually recommended it lol, I'm not looking to run my games at like 4K intense power, but just being able to play Baldur's Gate 3, Red Dead 2, and other games without it being *laggy* as fuck lmao

with that setup u should be able to run pretty much everything except maybe cyberpunk witrh every thing on ultra in 2k

if u in 1080p ull get to use all ur fun ray tracing and upscaling so ur winnign regardless, and that cpu wont bottleneck u
