In WWE it was: He got over on his own, refused to go all the way with it and them DEPUSHED. AEW, just a mix of bad timing and bad luck with injuries.

He had other issues with WWE too, they did the shitty Lana breakup angle on screen but then TMZ caught them fucking on a beach and ran their wedding story so WWE had to put them back together on screen

And I think they never forgave him for fucking up their kayfabe without permission by getting married

Yeah he wasn't a fan of randomly being booked against Taker at that first Saudi show, they actually switched him out for Jericho or someone but then switched it back. 2018 was such a a shit show

AEW needs to tighten presentation. WWE needs to not obviously take a few weeks off when they'll have competition and lower numbers anyway

great question. for AEW I would say tighten up storyline beats (when they happen, in the right order of booking) and be more consistent and following through. and ofc give ROH a real identity

Yeah for AEW storyboarding actually wouldn't hurt to keep continuity flowing better

For AEW, mine would be to improve the creative structure. It is mainly TK right now and he's got a decent batting average, but is worn thin and there needs to be a bit more structure. I don't think they need a team of writers like WWE, but while they aren't WCW 2000 levels of insanity, they just need a few people on board to tighten things and maybe work with those talent who want ideas and work through stuff.
