I recall preferring Def Jam Vendetta. But both were awesome.

That's interesting because Fight For NY is like the ideal sequel. Just built on everything already great about Vendetta, created a bigger world, better/longer story, more characters, locations, etc.... it truly only got better But sometimes it's a matter of when you experienced things and what you spent more time on, so I could understand that.

oh yeah, Vendetta is awesome also. I might go back and play that one once I'm done with Fight for NY. I just always liked it slightly better which is why I went with it first
