I'm sure it's effective for some. I know personally I put off doing a lot of things that are extremely easy, whether because of anxiety or uncertainty or plain laziness... shit that could be accomplished in minutes that instead get drawn out into weeks of constantly reminding myself I need to do the thing but pushing it off.Chris said:the logic seems to be pushing yourself as close to a panic attack as you can with your incentive to do the things you're supposed to being to avoid said panic attack lol I was baffled it was a real suggestion
Everybody does gotta find what works for them, that is the most crucial thing. I certainly would consider putting yourself in new or uncertain situations, or trying new activities, or working on a new skill with some semi-regularity to be worth at least trying for anyone who feels down or stuck.Chris said:Yeah it's a common issue but I think the solutions just vary person to person so everyone has to find what works for them. I need to give myself specific deadlines even if they're arbitrary bc if I just have something on my to do list that can be done "whenever" then I always find something else to do instead and justify that it's more urgent lol
