I remember they had that match where they wore basketball jerseys and like the next day he was released and they said he injured his wrist and then he posted a video on youtube of him moving his wrists around proving them wrong.

That whole reason for the basketball jerseys is hilarious by the way. they had to move arenas on short notice because the team who played in that arena had a playoff game lmao. Nuggets i think lol. Lakers let them use their arena. So the faces repped the Lakers while the heels the Nuggets

The funny thing is all of those are connected... who knows, maybe we never would've gotten the Guest Hosts era, if the fake death story wasn't scrapped due to Benoit

Sometimes I think if the Benoit timeline has been different and they had already canceled him before any tributes bc the details came out....they would have went ahead with the fake Vince funeral

Part of me feels like they knew or at least had an idea he did it. Kind of weird to just completely not have fans. Makes me feel in hindsight they kinda had an idea he did it and didn't want the story to break during Raw while fans were there and could've really had some Chants about fuck Chris benoit idk

I don't think you can even link the million dollar one as directly as you are, but I would say it's a safe bet that any random thing like that would have been different or non-existent without the Benoit murders, it changed the entire business top to bottom in a million aspects
