Obsessed with being right and more importantly that you know everyone else is wrong lol

And isn't so convenient to just choose something that could never be verifiably be proven true

It's why all those fallacy books about like "full proof ways to beat casinos" or gambling and stuff always sell, people really wanna believe there's an all magical formula we just need to figure out and we'll succeed in life. They don't like the random aspect that we actually have to deal with

I can't even think of that many that fit this anymore tbh lol we're so cooked it's flat earth and Finland doesn't exist rn

Yeah. I know a lot of people online now are calling it out as "schizo behavior" when you have these people who, tbh are probably mentally unwell, and want to find connections between events, and numbers, and symbology etc.

The Lincoln and JFK murder "similarities" is a classic one like that

Because of Good Mythical Morning(its a video they did) I jokingly say Finland doesn't exist . Is that something people actually believe?

Which I have experienced firsthand with someone whose brain got fried during the pandemic, truly lost it, and their whole obsession was just trying to assign meaning to numbers that added up to being evidence of some conspiracy or unspecified magical presence or whatever.

Astrology to an extent too, it's just another way we have to try and explain randomness bc we can't comprehend that it's random, we have to at least say some stars caused it. It's out of our control entirely so it's at least closer to reality than lizard people controlling everything tho

it all started as a meme and now it's hard to tell if the people still really pushing it forward are just finding it still funny or if they really bought in. Bc it stopped being funny so long ago lol
