I doubt that is a regional thing though... it's just one person talking about one other person and how that person don't wanna drive 45 minutes to their parents, while the second person immediately makes it into a stereotype of a whole nation.

And just to be clear... of course, since the US is so much larger, plus the collegiate system, more families are living farther away from each other, but these two clowns, just from those to snippets, make it seem like they think all Americans would drive from coast to coast just for a cup of coffee at their parents, while people from the UK (or Europe) couldn't be bothered to drive less than an hour to visit their family... and that's just bogus.
