So you work a desk job and your grandpa dies and you inherit his farm. so the whole goal of the game is to take this farm that has seen better days and make it great again.

Stardew is the only game my gf will play since she bought it like a year ago

your farm is right outside of a small town where you can visit and chat with all the ppl that live there. some of them you can romance and marry. there's also events on certain days.

and unlike Animal Crossing it's not real time so you don't have to miss any events if you don't want.
