Yea, I feel like Civ is very much like the Grand Strategy Games in that regard

The strategy I followed said to build a lot of their special archers and pyramids early so I did that, only started one city before my archers were able to take the other 3 Civs on my two continents over so those were my cities for awhile, then I chilled until I got boats and stuff lol

Each of those other three civs had 2 cities each so it's a nice little legacy that I have sets of 3 twins cities of those civs and the others are more spaced out

it was too good but the post game has been way more fun than I expected so I'm still going

Always good if you can allow yourself to do some waiting and observing for some turns some time into the run
