That happened to me at first, it's complicated

I probably would enjoy it if I spent more time on it

Once I customized the gameplay and started playing on marathon mode it was way easier for me for whatever reason

Basically the game just moves so much slower, which can be boring at first but helps to not get overwhelmed with so much happening

yeah, I think I've found my perfect settings at this point. Just unsure if I like continents or continents with islands the best, islands are good in theory but it always just ends up being a city state if I'm doing barbarian clans mode bc it won't be discovered that soon
