he was astonished when I was quietly explaining why young people arent having kids. i dont think most boomers realize not only the cost in things but the stagnation of wages because they were already in their high earning years when that stuff really went sideways

I mean most Boomers were in their 40s when the 80s happened.

i wouldnt consider my upgrining upper class either, my dad was a pilot and my mom a nurse. kind of blue collar jobs

Butters was also talking about how he pays like $600 for a two bedroom apartment earlier so that explains a lot of the disconnect rural areas can have in general in regards to cost of living too

Yeah I think when people hear "Upper Middle Class" they assume that means like extravagant lifestyles.

Upper middle class to me means you can afford vacations and your kids college. Middle class is vacation and loans, lower middle class is no vacations
