I also only just now learned that Austin got a lot of inspiration for how he did his ECW promos from guys like Mick Foley... who had his Cane Dewey promo only a couple of weeks before Austin showed up to tape his

I'm just imagining Austin being the cartoony chicken shit heel he was in 2001 while Sting is pointing a bat at him and it's so much better than Hogan already

Yea... and then he shows up as the third man at Bash at the Beach and gets to work with all those guys he wanted to work with (Sting, Savage, Hogan), but got denied because he wasn't "marketable"

I think a major flaw in this scenario would be realistically even if they booked this, they still wouldn't have as much faith in Austin after as they did Hogan and might still fuck up the angle to try and compensate
