What's even crazier is seasons 3 and 4 are basically the third book, so when reading you have the red wedding and then what feels like right after the purple one, shit was insane. Rewatches will be like that now too but watching live there was a whole year in between

there's a really good YouTube channel named alt shift x that I wouldn't be surprised if you know of but at some point he started doing videos after every episode giving book context or stating where it differered. He also does history videos of the world of some stuff that may be not referenced in the show or vaguely references
