How the fuck does that work

America is the strongest economy in the world, has the strongest military, and is a major trade partner to a lot of countries. So countries that America owes its debt to, aren't keen on asking for that money back. So it's sort of a silent agreement that the debt really doesn't matter as long as good relations are maintained.

So the more debt America gets from other countries, the more those countries will want to be tied to America's trade networks. Thus the more powerful America becomes through its trade.

Yeah lmao, it's ridiculous, the more we owe China the less inclined China is to wanting to wage war against America, because they still want that sweet sweet trade.

If we didn't owe any money to China, none of their money would be tied up in the American economy, so they're less valuable trade partners.
