so i got 4 ram slots, usually motherboards have them color coded for channels to match them up but not this guy

so i had the preinstalled ones in 2 and 4 which is pretty standard. I put the new one in 1 and the pc wouldn't even boot up. I put it in 3 and same thing.

move them all around a few times and eventually got a config that it accepts so now I have 48gb of RAM which is basically overkill.
