Most games have the option to play in a borderless window, so you can use your mouse on the second screen without needing to tab out

Oh yeah that's true, I've never really dabbled with that but I do remember using that a lot cuz i like to alt+tab a lot in game and it was always easier to go back to the game in that mode.
