If I'd get anything veggie for it, it'd be maybe spring onions or leek at most. It's a dish of what needs to be eaten, before it goes bad.

I can eat the purple peas but those are usually just by themselves and don't seem to be that widely eaten outside of the south US lol

My grandpa used to grow them when he had his farm tho so we had a lot when I was young
