That happened with my dad actually

video games would be overwhelming as fuck now to start fresh i would bet. I luckily adapted from a controller with 2 buttons up to what we have now.

Dakstang tried to get into video games with RDR1 when it first came out. a bunch of us on WC were hyped about getting it and playing online together so he went and bought a 360 and the game when it came out and couldn't get past lassoing his first horse.

he could lasso it but when you got on the horse you had to keep your balance to tame it, he kept getting bucked off.

Yeah my dad tried to play like PS3 era Madden and there were way too many buttons

my dad told me today that I'm a "little too old to still play video games"

a few years after graduation from high school, I met up with the girl I had a crush on in my senior year to hang out and when she found out I still play video games she told me I need to grow up

I remember one time a buddy of mine came over to my old apartment and I had like movie and video game posters framed on my wall and he was like, "you'll never be able to bring a girl home to this place and get laid"

i said if she comes to my place for the purpose of having sex and sees i have a poster that she doesn't like and backs out, I probably dodged a bullet

gamestop used to let you buy posters in exchange for their points or whatever so i would always get free video game posters from them and frame them in my spare room which was my game room at the time. it fit the theme of the room. I didn't have them in the living room.
