Well so far every year of this(started in 2014) expect last season the winner was also the champion lol. Last year was the first time the race winner was not up for the championship

Some of the years. The best driver all season still won. Sometimes someone who was like the 6th beat all season won.

The worst was the first year Kyle Busch won. Dude missed a good bit of the first half of the season because he was injured. was able to make the playoffs by winning and being top 30 in points (they had a rule about that back at first lol) and then he was able to win the championship.

The year my favorite won, he honestly shouldn’t have. But he made up for that, by a couple years later not winning it when he should have. so I see it as being even lol
