I thought it was a great episode again this week.
The opening tag was kinda just there. I really don't care about 3/4 of the competitors in this match but Dustin is one of my favorites so he made up for it. I'm really hoping he competes when I go see Dynamite live in December. Sonny Kiss is showing some improvement I feel, so I have to give credit there.
The women's match was actually really awesome to me. It was an ideal match to go on Dark I think because it had lots of fun and elaborate spots, there was some comedy mixed in there, but it would have felt out of place and been too time consuming to be on Dynamite. The best part of the whole thing is that everyone looked good. I would have probably went with Sadie Gibbs to get the W here but Sakura is obviously legit and just as good a choice. GIVE THESE WOMEN A BIGGER ROLE! I don't wanna be harsh because maybe it's too soon to judge but this Britt Baker every week shit is flopping imo. Give these women a turn in the spotlight.
Needless to say, the MJF sitdown was awesome. Given the content of the interview it seems like they're going full on face with him. I'm fine with that. He's young and he'll have plenty of time to play the heel later in years to come.
The main event was fun. Even though it was pretty much stuff we've already seen before in previous hardcore multi-man matches, I was into it. Jack Evans being in there created a different dynamic compared to, say, Janela. I liked seeing him do the Perc Angle flip off the stage and that 450 onto Havoc on the chairs looked gruesome. Obviously happy with the Darby win in the end.
A really good hour of action all around.
