Hangman/Swerve is my favorite, because it’s what sold me on Swerve. Before that, I didn’t care much about him at all, he was just there for me. But his work with Hanger sold me on him because the story was so great and both men did wonderful.

It’s weird because I don’t want to slander Jeff Jarrett as I’m probably the biggest Jeff fan on the forum. I would legitimately put peak 2000 Jeff Jarrett in my top 10 of all time, but I don’t think even I could say I would pop for him winning some thing in 2024.

Yeah when Hanger faced Jericho to determine the first World Champ, he was perceived as a midcarder through and through by fans. I remember a lot of people early in AEW were quite low on Hanger in general, especially seeing how much they were clearly gonna invest in him when he was pretty unproven at the time. I think he's one of the most universally praised wrestlers in the company now.
