That's what Dave is 100% convinced of but I think it's more plausible they wanted Cody's "maybe I'm just a professional wrestler" line in the main event segment to have more shock value even if plenty people have said it the last few months. Would be more watered down if it's said on some random pretape before on the same show. I'd buy Vince could also have that thought process too tho, he was always a big stickler of not doing certain things whether it be moves or what to preserve something in the main which I think isn't even a big deal nowadays

Him and Bryan are both convinced Vince is influencing creative in some ways which I don't even think is incorrect bc HHH has said he listens to what Vince has to say, he just has the final call. So obviously if he likes the Vince idea he'd still book it. I just think they're looking for too many examples of "proof" and it looks desperate
