fwiw hating brock was pretty easy to hate for a couple years , some of that booking was some woat shit lol

can only speak for myself, mostly hated him because outside one of two matches he was uninterested and mailed it in while being pushed and holding the entire division hostage while showing up a few times a year. a lot of that, however, not his fault. I still do think he is great "when he tries" and he tries a lot more now a days. being away from the world title and roman helps too, they went to that well too much and it damaged brock for some ppl

The only issue I ever had with Brock was specifically the Roman feud and Roman not beating him finally until SummerSlam 18 which in hindsight is worse bc Roman had to vacate the title not long after bc of his cancer (obviously no one could have planned for that). But he really shoulda just won at Mania that year and got to have a real reign regardless

FWIW I remember that Fox debut being super rushed towards the end and the Cain debut barely happened before they had to go off air so there's a chance they were planned to have like a 5 minute match before they audibled last minute.

That said I don't think Brock would have cared either way lol
