Did you see he did the too sweet and gun gesture when he won the Rumble and the Bucks changed their bio to those emojis lol
missed that.
I genuinely feel like there was a difference in opinion/philosophy/goals and that was the "split" reporter kept trying to push. I don't think it was some hs stuff and they were actually mad and no longer friends. Seems much more logical that Cody wanted to one thing and go one direction, and it wasn't the same vision as the bucks and especially Kenny. Nothing wrong with that, though, and it explains as well why Cody just decided he rather be a wrestler and not be a manager/decision maker. I really do think sometimes people just have different aspirations and move on, and that's OK.
in either case we have had this convo before, I think all parties are better off and especially Cody. But if Punk never gets injured, I don't think Cody was gonna get that much of a push ever. It's also, on a side note, something I was thinking about in bed last night.
That thing being that the main reason it sometimes feel recently that AEW haven't built up these huge angles like before...I think that twice they had plans to do just that and Punk got hurt. He was their big planned stuff and it fell through, and nothing they have come up with since has been as hot as the ideas they likely had. It's why I think patience is important, just gotta give these guys some time to cook a new meal from scratch
