Should also clarify "better" doesn't necessarily mean he's bad at the actual title reigns too lol just been a few times we've had really great title chases and wins and then the reign is just whatever until the next champ. Some still good reigns, just nowhere near the magic of the chase.

Honestly a common problem in wrestling too, it's why Flair would always win the belt back soon after whoever beat him in the 80s

yeah i think he can fall into the formula of "book fighting champion" esp with bb champs. bb champs r hard no doubt but ya, its happened a few times in a row now

I also can't praise the way the company was booked during the pandemic enough, that's a great point. Even taping 2-3 hour Darks every week just to give people some work, I loved that shit

2020 was peak AEW so far imo. Probably from like Revolution 2020 to maybe like All Out 2021 is the best of shit.

I would go all the way to Full Gear 2021 as that includes the first few months of Danielson greatness and the culmination of the Hangman title chase. It's all been different since (good and bad) almost like when a TV show gets renewed for longer than the original plans were
