I mean youve literally never called him mox, so lets not pretend its by accident lol
Like Deezy said, typically you call guys by the name you’re introduced to them as.

I heard of him on the indies. Never watched him. He was introduced to me as Dean Ambrose. He was Dean Ambrose for 8 years. I literally told you I type AM in my phone and Ambrose comes up.

You act like I’m degrading him. Like I’m calling him outside his name.

His name isn’t Jon Moxley

Nah. Hes john moxley and your in aew section. Dont be obtuse please, no amount of excuse making or semantics make you correct in purposefully misnaming someome. Im sorry this seems to be so difficult for you, so by all means , keep being incorrect on purpose and look silly in the process. Weird.

Foley is more of an anomaly I feel, and in my experience most people call him Cactus when referencing his days as Cactus Jack. Obviously, I don't doubt that some people just know him as Cactus Jack.

In your case, you're around wrestling constantly. You seen to watch at least some AEW. Everytime you see or read about the man for the past 3 years, the man's name has been Jon Moxley, but I don't think I've ever seen you call him Moxley. Like I said, it just feels intentional at this point. :lol May not be. I find it unusual but I won't malign you for it.
No it’s not intentional. If I wanted to disparage him or anything like that, I probably would’ve gave him a shitty nickname or something like that.

To me, he’s just 2018 Dean Ambrose. The one that got in shape. He’s just always been Ambrose.

And why is that a bad thing? Ambrose was a World Champion. Ambrose was super over until the end

Again does calling Claudio “Cesaro” make me weird?

On purpose, yes? But again, 3+ years vs less than 3 months. Very different but ive explained this to you already and it seems a difficult concept for you :worried i thought my memory was bad

You mock anyway and I was gonna keep calling him Ambrose.

So it’s the Status Quo.

I'm sure it has to do with the jaded wrestling culture. Refusing to call people by anything other than their "WWE name" no matter how long ago it was, to basically imply that what they do outside of WWE is inferior and not worth acknowledging, is definitely a thing that's gone on for some time. Again, it's not always the case when people do it... But it's pretty clear that some do it to be reductive or dismissive.

If you say so. Just speaking from my own perspective. Not even accusing you of doing it. But if you really don't think it's a thing then I guess that's that. :lol
