I blame the booking in the sense that I think it was obvious people wouldn't really care to see Nyla challenging for the belt again, and while the Deeb feud was a good call, the execution of it fell flat and resulted in a couple of pretty rough segments that hurt a lot of people's interest in the two. I know they're having to book around certain circumstances but I'm not sure I can say they got the best out of those two feuds given the situation either.
I would agree with this statement, absolutely, especially the "they didn't get the most out of those feuds" portion, regardless of injury/circumstance, they for sure could have come one up with some better ways to push those feuds.
I personally didn't mind the opening feud with Nyla, she's a former champion and the match had a good potential to be very violent. Uninspired, sure, but there was also a lot of time to burn and placing the Owen Hart tourny during the build to DoN may have been a poor idea logistically as AEW doesn't have THAT many women on the top tier and when your having some of them lose in the tournament instead of challenging for the belt they kind of pigeon held themselves a bit there.
The Deeb feud I can't fault AEW on, they gave them lots of time and both Rosa and Deeb didn't deliver on promos, that one I'll stay steady on that the performers didn't execute and make most of the time they were given.
