I won't disagree to that either. Generally a lot of Punk's "takes" are him just being salty

Not like his takes have done anything you can equate to the success of the "old head, bad faith, bad take carny dipshits" have had. :draper2
I mean Punk also didn't help lead WCW and TNA to disaster.

I know some of you think you are clever with your weird gotchas but ya, literally everyone has an ego. Being a certain way or being a hypocrite, no matter how much you wish for it, doesn't actually dismiss someone making a point. I know some of you all love to character assassinate the second someone says something you disagree with as if they personally attacked you but ya, lol, Punk is 100% in the right here regardless how you feel about him on a personal level.

Also Eric going on about focusing on casual fans when WCW in 2000 was doing stuff about Goldberg refusing to follow the script and Eric cutting promos on Sid's scissors incident with the crowd not knowing what is going on. He has one good idea which he stole from Japan and did it so many times in TNA again and again (tho that might also be on Dixie)

Blame the owner for that.

If everything is Vince McMahon's fault.....every owner has to take the blame too.

Lead WCW to disaster.....by making them the number one company for awhile.

But yeah, WCW's demise was because of rasslin angles on TV, not a disaterous merger that brought in execs who didn't like rasslin.

And the ratings also plummeted during Eric's lead. If he wants praise for getting to number 1, he gets the stick for them falling down too. It's time to move on from old men from the past or wrestling will never move forward. If listening to Eric worked, TNA would be number 2 right now. Oh wait they feel down hard under Eric. I mean look how good the idea to go head to head was then.

So Tony has to take the blame for Rampage's shit ratings.

I think the main issue is he isn't arguing in good faith anymore and none of his points are actually valid or based in reality. He's devolved to commandeering SCJerk and anti-AEW twitter tropes and it's overwhelmingly obvious he either 1) has an axe to grind or 2) He's trying to stay relevant by coping hot takes from the internet for clicks. He's not bringing anything to the table anymore, which is why he should be ignored. And regardless if he was still successful, that was 20+ years ago. Things, including TV, has changed quite a bit since and I quite frankly don't think he's ever moved on from how things used to be.
