Galatasaray say they have agreed a deal to sign Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder from Inter Milan.
Inter accepted Galatasaray's bid for the 28-year-old almost two weeks ago.

Now they have finally agreed personal terms with the player and the transfer can be completed after he completes a medical on Monday.
Sneijder had been keen on a move to the Premier League, according to his agent Soren Lerby, but a serious offer never materialised from England.

A statement on Galatasaray's website read: "The transfer of Wesley Sneijder from Inter Milan has been agreed.

"The conditions of the deal will be made public and the player will sign the contract after health checks [his medical]."
Sneijder, who was strongly linked with Manchester United in the summer of 2011, has not played for Inter since 25 September because of a dispute over his contract.

In November, the Italian side informed Sneijder he would not play for them until he agreed a significant cut in his salary.
The player refused, meaning he has been on the sidelines despite being fit for the past two months.

Sneijder joined Inter from Real Madrid in 2009 and helped them win a historic treble of the Serie A title, Champions League and Italian Cup treble in his first season.

He was also the inspiration for the Netherlands as they reached the 2010 the World Cup final.

Not a step up, but good for him. He can play and be awesome again.

Lost it. He should have come to United a year or two ago when we wanted him. His ass wanted to be the most paid, when Rooney was like "lol gtfo Sneijder".

True. Too bad it has to be like this.

On another note, I'm happy that the guy can pick up his career again.

Does anyone else agree that this guy should have won the Ballon d' Or in 2010?
