While violence should never be an answer, neither should hiding behind things like freedom of speech. Because that is such a vague concept that is policed by hypocrites.

These guys were baiting religious fundamentalists and they act surprised when someone attacks them? Fuck off, they knew what they were doing. I'm an atheist, but even I know my opinions don't equal freedom from consqeunces.

Talk shit, get bit.

How is hate speech against religion any different than hate speech against race or sexuality? Hypocrisy all around. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Freedom of speech should not equate freedom from common fucking courtesy, or freedom from consequence.

My thoughts? I think you're a dumbass for even thinking it's okay to kill someone, much less people who had nothing to do with the cartoon, just because of a drawing. You truly are a special type of retard.

I agree with Swamps. A life is worth more than a cartoon. The attackers are lunatics and I'm starting to think you are too.

I think you combed through this place to look for something I said i may have regretted.

Keep searching, freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from reprisal.

Wave your hands in front of sharks and act shocked the shark bites?

Fuck off.

Grow up you petty little shits.

Ok I'm glad we live in a country where you can't have freedom of speech without getting shot. Cool.

What a bump.

These guys are right though Deezy. No matter what is said, it's not worth killing over.

Now did they instigate and damn near ask for it? Sure.

Doesn't excuse the fact that they thought that was worth killing people over.

Religion of peace my ass.

My favorite part of this is everyone ignoring my opening sentence of "violence isn't the answer".

I said these guys were trolling violent extremists and the inevitable happened.

Learn context and actually read without looking for trigger words.

Yeah poke the bear and act shocked you get mauled.

My entire point.

Not my fault you found trigger words, I never said kill people or advocated for it genius.

I said that freedom of speech isn't a magical shield that saves you from consequence. If you actually knew what what that meant you wouldn't bump a thread from almost two years ago.

Look for more threads, I think I said more trigger words elsewhere.

Sad little boy. :smh

No one ignored shit.

You're are right about not "poking the bear". It was an idiotic thing to do.

BUT that doesn't give anyone the right to go on a shooting rampage and murder people. The way you're acting is like they deserved it...and no one does no matter what they say.

Killing anyone because of your or their religion is one of the stupidest things the human race has brought to this world.

This reminds me of the story going around right now of the five guys who beat an older man, tried to steal his car and dragged him from the car for blocks going 80 MPH. A lot of people are speculating he must have said something racist and that would make it perfectly OK to beat him nearly to death and steal his car. Grand Theft Auto be damned!

It's not supposed to be a thing. I'll hold the beer, though.
