This made me lol. For the most part the newscasters are obvious morons who seem to be belittling a 16 year old, and they don't even have the foresight to debate his remarks. Gotta love Foxnews.

Video isn't available in Australia but I do know what this is about. I read Beiber's comments about US healthcare and he is spot on. I can't believe US citizens can be against universal healthcare, why wouldn't you want everyone to be able to have access to healthcare and for fair prices. How anyone can disagree with what Bieber said I don't know because if they do then they really are evil people.

I just wonder what the motivation for asking a 16-17 year old his opinions on such matters. I get that he is considered a role model for kids whose parents don't take an interest in their lives, but really. Rollingstone asked him some pretty loaded questions. Why would anyone want to know this kids views on abortion and religeon? Not to mention taking out the context of his quotes. I only know this because I seen this headline and read more into it.

I just don't understand why pop singers are asked about such serious issues, regardless of their age.

Moreover, who actually pays to read what they think? (in RollingStone, for example)

It is not so much that we are against Universal Healthcare. Just the bill has some bad flaws and has a handful of controversial addendum(s) such as assisted suicide. Not to mention it screws senior citizens to a certain point. It is what it is though.

Still I agree why ask a 16 year old CANADIAN pop star aboot this issue?

Also FOX News is Republican so they hate that sorta thing anyway. Not surprised really even though this is the first time I heard of this bidness.

Great point about why a 16 year old pop star is asked about all these serious issues. He is famous because he can sing, just because he is famous it doesn't mean that he is an intellect that has thought deeply about these issues. His comment about abortion proves that and it is unfortunate that the media just want to get a soundbite out of him that they can use to boost sales and ratings.

I don't neccesarily mean that one Universal Healthcare bill but why won't both sides work together to sort out healthcare. The US is meant to be a first world country but it's healthcare system not to mention it's education system are third world. Developing nations have better healthcare systems that the US and that is embarrassing for a nation of it's stature. It seems like something that both parties would want to work on together as everyone should want it to be available to all.

I honestly don't see what is wrong with a two-tier healthcare system, it's a solid mix of private and public healthcare. Not like that emergency HMO shit vs. Insurance hospitals that will throw you out for not being insured.
