Shawn Daivari (a/k/a Sheik Abdul Bashir) has re-signed with TNA Wrestling, reports SuperLuchas.net. The former X Division Champion is expected to work this week’s iMPACT! tapings in Orlando, Florida.

Daivari parted ways with TNA Wrestling in December 2009 after requesting his release from the organization. Since that time he has appeared for Ring of Honor and numerous independent promotions.

When I read the title on the news item I was hoping that it would be Petey Williams returning to TNA. Sheik Abdul Bashar's last run in TNA wasn't that good, he was a bit too boring and it would be good if he gets a gimmick overhaul before he re-debuts with TNA.

With the exception of playing a heel manager (Mostly as a sidekick to Kurt Angle) this guy has never impressed me. I never understood why ROH signed him. What a waste of money this is.

I agree he worked best as a heel manager rather than as a singles wrestler, I am surprised that he even won the X Division Title.

Petey Williams, Austin Aries or Low Ki/Senshi would be better choices.

Yeah I would like to see Williams come back, as he is very much a TNA orignal, and since it has been awhile since he left I think his impact would really be felt.

Williams would be a big boost to the X Division which could use a bit of a spark at this moment. He has been gone for a couple of years now and back in his old regular gimmick, not the mini-Steiner gimmick he would be a hit again. I don't see Sheik Abdul Bashir adding that much to the division.

Williams has been doing a lot of work for Clash Wrestling a local Detroit Area promotion so he is still in very good in ring shape. I'd be all for a return.

Former WWE talent Shawn Daivari worked last night’s iMPACT! taping in Orlando, Florida, beating independent wrestler Ricky Reyes via Death Valley Driver. He was announced as Shawn Daivari.

Over the weekend, Daivari denied reports that he had re-signed with TNA Wrestling. He didn’t, however, deny the report of him working this week’s iMPACT! tapings.

So he hasn't quite signed yet but it seems close enough since he is working dark matches for them.

Daivari is a great heat magnet, utilizes the hate for Muslims very well, he should comeback as a face and use his Farci language to talk about how great America is and stuff, instant babyface.

I am very much the other way on these sorts of things dezzy, there are just somethings people do not want to see in Pro Wrestling and that is one of them. Some of the angles in WWE involving him and the other guy (forget his name) were a disgrace.
