You missed the best part. It was apart of a love angle.

“ Ms. Sylvers and Plaintiff, the only black writers on the team, at the time, were tasked to pitch a love storyline between wrestlers Aaliyah, Mansoor, and Angel Garza, who are both Muslim).

Ms. Sylvers and Plaintiff pitched that Mansoor has a secret that he’s keeping from Aaliyah.

CALLAHAN disagreed with the secret Ms. Sylvers and Plaintiff wanted for the character.

Instead, CALLAHAN suggested, “how about his secret is he’s behind the 9/11 attacks?”

Ms. Sylvers nervously laughed and said, “let’s not do that. Let’s talk about the other part of the pitch.”

CALLAHAN said, “Oh, I guess you’re the lead writer now.”

Ms. Sylvers again laughed nervously, and said, “for just this moment so we can talk about something else.”

Following this, whenever a writer asked CALLAHAN a question, he would reply, “ask [Ms. Sylvers], she’s the lead writer now.””
Suggesting said angle whilst Zelina Vega is employed in the company whose father died in those attacks. Yup, that’s one amazing idea indeed. Callahan sounds like a total tit

The Mansoor stuff is just... wow.

But I can't be the only one who would have been curious to see that Shane Thorne hunter gimmick?

After hearing a few podcasters and just seeing people comment on this, I feel like a lot of people really didn't read shit about this other than the most basic headlines lol

She's not suing WWE for racist pitches, she's claiming they fired her for speaking out on them, it's a wrongful termination suit bc she was allegedly fired for taking a wrestlemania commemorative chair which multiple other writers also did and have always done every year.

I realize wrestling fans actually reading past headlines is impossible though lol bringing up previous racist angles and saying WWE should have been sued for them beyond missing the point, no one gets sued for being in bad taste, you just get bad publicity (which WWE did for most of these examples even the older ones). And these folks are technically on the writer's "side" but acting like this is a suit for specifically bad taste angles and not a wrongful termination is severely minimizing what her issue is, these bad pitches would have remained behind closed doors for the most part if they didn't fire the person who dared not like them
