First poster arrives for Seven Psychopaths
"They're giving murderous demented psychotics a bad name"
Seven Psychopaths, the latest crime comedy from In Bruges director Martin McDonagh, has released a first teaser poster, spotted by Collider at this year's CinemaCon festival.
The new poster shows the titular nut-jobs gathered together in a single lineup, with Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken, Olga Kurylenko, Abbie Cornish and Tom Waits all present and correct.
The film follows Farrell's character, a struggling writer, as he attempts to finish a script entitled Seven Psychopaths. Having never been much of a law-breaker himself, he's finding authenticity a little hard to come by.
However, that's not a problem for long. Assisted by his petty criminal buddy (Rockwell) and his unhinged partner in crime (Walken), Farrell soon finds himself awash with inspiration, when he becomes embroiled in a violent caper involving the theft of a violent gangster's (Waits) beloved dog.
The poster has a strong whiff of Trainspotting about it, and going by McDonagh's previous, the film will likely be tinged with the same black comedy that made that film such a success. Seven Psychopaths opens in the US on 2 November 2012, with a UK release date yet to be confirmed.
